
Xinzhang Song, Male, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Leader of the National Forestry and Grassland Science and Technology Innovation Team, Leader of the High-level Innovation Team of Zhejiang Higher Education Institutions, Principal Investigator of the State Key Laboratory of Subtropical Silviculture. His research primarily focuses on carbon and nitrogen cycling in subtropical forest ecosystems and the carbon neutrality function of forests under global change scenarios. He has presided over one project funded by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, one key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), one key international (regional) cooperation and exchange project, four General and Youth Programs, and one project under the National Key Research and Development Program. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed papers, including more than 40 as first/corresponding author in high-impact journals such as Science Advances, Horticulture Research, and Soil Biology & Biochemistry. He has also authored one monograph. As the principal contributor, he has received one Second Prize and one Third Prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Award, two Second Prizes of the Liangxi Forestry Science and Technology Award from the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, and one Second Prize of the Invention and Entrepreneurship Award. He also participated in research that received one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Forest Ecology Branch of the Chinese Society of Forestry and Vice Chairman of the Ecological Society of Zhejiang. He is an editorial board member of Forest Ecosystems and Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering (a journal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering), and a reviewer for journals including Nature Communications and PNAS.
